the Handmade Pledge

I took the Handmade Pledge today!

When I discovered Etsy, I was surprised by the number of talented people creating so many varieties of beautiful and creative things.  It didn't take too long before I decided to shop Etsy before going out to retail stores.

That's because I know how much love and care go into every item we create.  They're a little expression of our taste and inspiration.  We spend hours pouring over our creations, working and perfecting it.  And I know all crafters out there are doing the same.

And I rather surround ourselves with things made with love and happy thoughts, than something made by machine or in a misearble condition of sweat shops.

Handmade items remind us that we are special.
