The city seems to be built around the Univerisity of Georgia. The UGA is the oldest state university in the country, incorporated in 1785. Its campus is beautiful with classic architectures built around shading mature trees.
There are many restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world, and countless bars and pubs. The city was quiet and peaceful being the summer break, but I'm sure it's a whole different place during the college football season.
