Strawberry Field

It is a peak strawberry season in Georgia, so we drove 1 hour to Washington Farms in Loganville.

The clear blue sky and cool breezy day was perfect to be out in the field.  As soon as we got out of the car, we could smell the sweet scent of strawberry.

We were picking only the perfectly ripe and beautiful berries and still took only an hour to fill two 1-gallon buckets.

I made Strawberry and Fresh Whipcream Rolled Cake.

...some went into the morning cereal,

some for Strawberry Shortcakes, and the rest will be frozen for smoothies and ice creams!

What a beautiful day!!
